| Reverse description | Central field occupied by a complex interlaced wheel or rosette design, consisting of curved and straight lines forming a multi-lobed geometric pattern radiating from a central point, enclosed within a raised circular border. This motif, commonly referred to as the 'wheel' (roda), is the defining type element of this series of Portuguese India copper bazarucos struck at Goa. The design is executed in a rough, flat hammered style typical of low-denomination colonial copper coinage of the period. No legend or additional inscription is present on this side. |
