Obverse description Full-length facing figure of the nimbate Saint Peter positioned slightly to the right, vested in episcopal robes and depicted within a Gothic-style pointed portal. The saint holds a cross-staff in his left hand and the Key of Heaven in his right hand. The architectural frame of the portal is rendered in the Gothic manner characteristic of Rhenish coinage of the early fifteenth century. A circular legend runs along the coin's periphery in Gothic lettering.

Obverse lettering THEODIC ARAPTAOE
Reverse description Quartered coat of arms at center, enclosed within a four-lobed quatrefoil border; a heraldic shield occupies each lobe of the border. The central quartered shield bears the arms of Cologne impaling Moers. The four surrounding lobes contain, from top proceeding clockwise: the arms of Mainz, Trier, Bavaria, and Jülich. A circular legend in Gothic lettering runs along the outer periphery of the coin.
