| Obverse description | Within a beaded or plain inner circle, the crowned rampant Bohemian lion faces right, rendered in the bold, somewhat crude style characteristic of hammered small silver coinage of the period. A Latin legend encircles the device, incorporating the regnal title of Matthias II as King of Bohemia, with the date appearing at the conclusion of the inscription. The overall design is typical of early seventeenth-century Bohemian pfennig coinage struck at the Kuttenberg (Kutná Hora) mint, exhibiting the irregular flan and shallow relief inherent to hand-struck issues of this denomination. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely blank, this being a uniface issue in which only the obverse die was employed during striking. The plain, unworked surface retains the characteristic texture of the hammered flan, with natural flow lines and surface irregularities consistent with the production methods used for small-denomination Bohemian silver coinage of the early seventeenth century. No design, legend, or emblem of any kind appears on this side. |
