Reverse description Highly stylized and abstracted boar device in the central field, executed in the conventional South Indian fanam idiom. Three bold vertical raised lines rise from a horizontal bar, suggesting the bristled back of the boar, while a small circular scroll to the lower right represents the curled tail. A row of raised pellets lines the base of the design, and the composition fills the irregular, hand-struck flan in a manner consistent with Travancore fanam coinage.
