| Reverse description | Central field features a large cross pattée composed of four wedge-shaped arms radiating from a central lozenge (diamond-shaped) boss, a design type known as the cruz equilateral used on Portuguese Vintém coinage. The four quadrants formed by the cross arms each contain a pellet or annulet. The surrounding legend +PORTVG.ET.ALGARB appears in Latin script along the flan periphery, partially weakly struck due to the hammered technique. The coin exhibits typical surface irregularity and flan crudeness consistent with its rarity and production method. |
