Additional information

The County of Tyrol passed between Leopold III and his son Leopold IV during this period through a combination of Habsburg partition agreements and early death — Leopold III was killed at Sempach in 1386 fighting the Swiss Confederation, leaving Tyrol's administration fractured among surviving brothers and heirs. Attributing specific Vierer strikes to either Leopold with certainty has defeated most specialists, which is precisely why the reference literature assigns them jointly.
