Obverse description Central cross pattée divides the field into four quarters, each containing a fleur-de-lis or trefoil ornament, forming a quartered heraldic arrangement. The design is rendered in a bold, Gothic style characteristic of late 14th-century Tyrolean coinage. A partial circular legend surrounds the central cross device. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, as typical of hammered small silver coinage of this period.
