| Obverse description | Central field displays a floriated or foliate cross with ornamental terminals, characteristic of late medieval Tyrolean hammered coinage. The design is rendered in low relief with irregular strike, typical of hand-hammered small silver. Decorative elements radiate from the central cross in all four quadrants. The coin exhibits the crude but purposeful artistry of 14th-century Alpine mint production. No clearly legible legend is present owing to the small module and variable striking. |
