Reverse description A ceremonial submission scene set beneath a canopied throne: the Doge of Venice, crowned with the ducal corno and richly robed, stands at the center of steps flanked by several dignitaries. A turbaned figure, identified as Hassan Mustafa Pasha, kneels in submission at the foot of the steps before him. A broken sword and other trophies lie on the ground. The two-line Latin legend occupies the upper field within the raised rim.
