Reverse description A cross pattée with fleur-de-lis terminals occupies the center of the field, set within a quatrefoil frame whose lobes are similarly adorned with lily finials, creating a lilied quatrefoil composition characteristic of Béarnese coinage of this period. The date 1601, spaced as individual digits, appears in the lower portion of the field. The circumferential Latin legend, referencing the Pauline inscription of divine grace, surrounds the central motif along the coin's border.
