Reverse description Central field featuring a small ornate cross, likely a cross pattee or fleury variant, with decorative elements radiating into the four quarters of the flan. A globule or pellet device appears at the center of the cross. The peripheral legend GRATIA. DEI. SVM. ID. Q. SVM, meaning 'By the grace of God I am that which I am', is partially visible around the edge of the irregularly shaped hammered flan. The beaded inner border is partially discernible. The reverse design is consistent with the standard type for Louis XIII small billon coinage as referenced in Droulers.
