| Obverse description | Two rabbits in high relief are depicted facing each other at centre on a mirror-polished field, set within a scalloped lotus-shaped flan. To the upper left, the Chinese cyclical characters 己卯 (Year of the Rabbit) appear in gilt relief, while the denomination legend 'US$1 Trade Dollar' is inscribed to the right. The legend 'SINGAPORE 1999' curves along the lower exergue, with the Singapore Mint mark at lower right. |
