| Obverse description | Radiate and draped bust of Gallienus facing right, rendered in a crude barbarous style with simplified facial features and an exaggerated radiate crown. The bearded portrait retains a recognizable imperial character despite its provincial execution. A degenerate Latin legend surrounds the bust, partially legible as IS - GNLLSAH, representing a garbled imitation of a Gallienic obverse inscription. The fields are rough and uneven, consistent with irregular unofficial striking. The overall style is characteristic of late third-century barbarous radiates produced beyond the formal imperial minting system. |
