| Reverse description | Central field occupied by the retrograde tamgha of Kabarna enclosed within a circular inner border, surrounded by a Sogdian legend running around the periphery of the coin. The tamgha serves as the dynastic or civic symbol of Kabarna, rendered in a simplified, emblematic style. The surrounding Sogdian inscription reads 'pny cpgw x`g`n', translating as 'Coin of Jabgu Khan', identifying the issue with the authority of Thun Jabgu Khan. The flan is irregular with weak strike in areas, typical of anonymous bronze coinage from this Central Asian Sogdian region. |
