| Obverse description | A lion depicted in profile walking to the right, rendered in a schematic and stylised manner characteristic of Central Asian coinage of the early medieval period. The body is shown in low relief with broad, simplified modelling, the head turned slightly upward. No legend or inscription is present in the field. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat off-centre, with the design occupying the majority of the coin's surface. |

| Reverse description | Central field occupied by a large tamgha of uncertain dynastic attribution, formed by a horizontal bar from which two or three vertical strokes descend, broadly resembling a horizontally oriented letter F or a comb-like symbol. The device is set within a double incuse border or ring that frames the entire field. No accompanying legend is present. The symbol is consistent with tribal or dynastic ownership marks attested on coinage of the Otrar oasis region during the 8th century CE. |
