Reverse description An armored horseman galloping to the right, rendered in the dynamic style typical of Celtiberian bronze coinage. The rider holds a long spear or lance extended horizontally before him, with the horse depicted in full stride with all four legs extended. Beneath the horse, in the exergue, appears a legend in Iberian (Celtiberian) script reading the mint name ARATIS. The composition follows the classic Iberian jinete type widely employed on Hispanic coinage of the late Republican period.
