| Reverse description | Helmeted warrior on horseback advancing vigorously to the right at a gallop, the rider leaning forward and brandishing a spear or lance held horizontally before him. The horse is depicted with energetic, dynamic musculature and flowing mane, its forelegs raised in a cantering posture characteristic of Celtiberian equestrian coinage. Below the horse in the exergue, the mint name in Iberian script reads 'kaisesa', identifying the issuing authority. This horseman type is the hallmark device of the Caesaraugusta region bronzes. |
