| Reverse description | Mounted warrior (jinete) advancing to the right on horseback, holding a long lance couched horizontally before him in a charging posture. The horse is depicted in a vigorous, extended gallop with all four legs outstretched, a hallmark of the Celtiberian equestrian coinage tradition. The rider wears a military cloak and is rendered with considerable energy despite the relatively small flan. In the exergue below the horse, the Iberian (Celtiberian) legend reading 'Arekorata' is inscribed in native Iberian script characters. The design is enclosed within a double linear border. |
