Obverse description Draped bust of Artemis facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style characteristic of Campanian coinage. The goddess wears a stephane or diadem, with her hair elaborately arranged, and the bow and quiver of the huntress are visible over her shoulder. The portrait is set within a beaded border and displays fine engraving detail typical of the Capuan bronze series issued during the Second Punic War period.
