| Obverse description | Cast bronze cash coin featuring four Chinese characters in Regular script (Kaishu), arranged symmetrically around a central square perforation and read clockwise from the top: 咸平元寶 (Xianping Yuanbao). The characters are rendered in raised relief within a plain inner rim, with a broad flat field separating the inner and outer raised rims. The casting exhibits the characteristic style of Northern Song imperial cash coinage, with boldly cut strokes and a well-defined square central hole. |
