Obverse description Uniface U-shaped fanam bearing three punch marks applied to the concave face of the bent gold strip. The central device depicts a lion or boar in profile walking to the right. To the left arm of the U-form, a punched legend reads 'Sri' in Kannada script, while the right arm carries the complementary legend 'Jaga', together forming the royal invocation 'Sri Jaga'. The punches are distributed across the curved field of the primitive planchet, consistent with the Wai-Karhad feudatory coinage attributed to the Western Chalukya period.
