| Obverse description | The obverse presents a distinctly U-shaped hammered gold flan, characteristic of the Chalukya fanam series. Two circular devices, likely stylised floral or deity motifs, are visible in the upper left and upper right arms of the U-shaped planchet. Additional incuse relief elements, possibly representing symbolic or religious imagery associated with the Chalukya court, are distributed across the field. The Kannada legend 'Sri' appears as an auspicious invocation within the design. The overall relief is low and uneven, consistent with hand-hammered medieval Indian coinage of the Deccan region. |
