Obverse description Right-facing crowned bust of Augustus III, King of Poland, draped in a mantle with lace cravat visible at the truncation. The king wears an ornate open crown adorned with fleur-de-lis and cross finial. The hair is rendered in long, flowing curls in the baroque style. The circular Latin legend reads D.G.AVGVSTVS III. REX POLONIARUM., with a toothed border encircling the entire design.
