Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate crowned royal cipher of August III (Augustus III of Poland), comprising interlaced letters A and R beneath an ornate royal crown with cross finial. The date 1763 is divided by the monogram, with '17' to the left and '63' to the right. The entire device is set within a dotted inner border, with no peripheral legend on this face. The die-cutting is in a bold Baroque style characteristic of mid-eighteenth-century Polish minting.
