| Obverse description | Crowned, draped bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruff collar and royal crown, rendered in a somewhat crude imitative style characteristic of unofficial coinage. The effigy shows the king with a bearded profile and armored or mantled shoulders. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading SIGIM III DG REX PO M D L, abbreviated for Sigismundus III Dei Gratia Rex Poloniae Magnus Dux Lithuaniae. The legend is separated from the central design by a beaded or dotted inner border. The overall workmanship reflects the irregular engraving typical of imitative trojak issues produced outside official royal mints. |
