| Reverse description | The reverse is divided into three horizontal registers by the date and the Bathory family arms (three wolf's teeth on a shield). At the top of the field, the Polish crowned eagle is displayed to the left, the Roman numeral III denoting the denomination appears at center, and the armored Lithuanian Pogon rider on horseback is shown to the right. Below these devices, a three-line Latin inscription gives the coin's monetary designation. The overall composition is typical of the Lithuanian trojak series struck at the Vilnius mint under Stefan Batory. |
