| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing bust of Stanisław August Poniatowski, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, rendered in a late Baroque style with elaborately curled powdered wig falling to the shoulder. The effigy is boldly modelled in high relief, occupying the central field. The encircling Latin legend reads STANISLAUS AUG D G REX POL M D L, separated from the coin's milled rim by a recessed border. The portrait conveys a dignified royal presence consistent with the Enlightenment-era iconographic programme of the Kraków mint. |
