Reverse description Central device displays the full armorial achievement of the city of Danzig (Gdańsk): a shield charged with two crosses potent in pale on a vertically lined field, supported by two rampant lions facing inward, the whole surmounted by a mural crown. Below the shield appears the mintmaster's initials 'F.L.S.' Surrounding the central device is a circular legend reading GROSSVS TRIPLEX GEDANENSIS, separated by a six-pointed star at the top, all contained within a toothed border. The heraldic execution is crisp and typical of the Gdańsk municipal coinage of the period.
