| Obverse description | Central crowned royal cypher of Augustus III (AR monogram) set within an ornate foliate design, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The date 1755 appears divided on either side of the monogram, with '17' to the left and '55' to the right. No peripheral legend is present. The entire design is struck on a square klippe flan with plain edges, giving the piece its distinctive quadrangular format. |
