Reverse description Central field bears the arms of Elbing (Elbląg): a shield divided per fess, displaying a cross patée in the upper portion and a tower or gateway in the lower portion, framed by elaborate Baroque cartouche scrollwork. The numeral '3' appears prominently above the shield within the cartouche. A circular Latin legend reading GROSSUS TRIPLEX ELBINGENSIS surrounds the entire device, separated from the dentilated border by a plain inner rim.
