| Reverse description | Central field dominated by a four-line Latin inscription denoting the denomination and issuing authority: GROS ARG / TRIP REG / POLONIÆ, meaning 'silver triple groat of the Kingdom of Poland.' Above the inscription, the numeral III surmounted by a royal crown flanked by two rampant lions (the Lewart and Lauffert heraldic supporters) fills the upper portion of the field. In the lower field, the Lewart shield (bearing a rampant lion) is positioned centrally, flanked to the left by a rose (the Wschowa mint mark) and to the right by the mintmaster's initials I F (for Jan Firlej or the responsible mintmaster). The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with all elements characteristic of the hammered coinage of the Wschowa Mint. |
