| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned bust of Sigismund III Vasa, depicted with a prominent beard and mustache, wearing armored shoulders with a ruffled collar visible at the truncation. The royal crown surmounting the effigy is ornately rendered with floral finials. The circumferential legend in Latin reads SIG III D G REX PO M D L, with the numeral III and mint initial appearing near the lower truncation. The portrait is executed in a robust, late Renaissance hammered style characteristic of the Wilno mint. |
