Obverse description Large draped bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a royal crown and a ruffled collar characteristic of late 16th-century court attire. The effigy is rendered in high relief with curling hair visible beneath the crown. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, separated from the bust by a beaded inner border. The portraiture style is typical of hammered Polish coinage of the period, with bold, slightly crude execution consistent with the Olkusz mint.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering SIG III D G REX POL ET DES SVE
(Translation: Zygmunt III by God`s grace King of Poland, Crown Prince of Sweden)
