| Obverse description | Armored bust of King Jan III Sobieski facing right, wearing a laurel wreath and draped in a mantle, with the mintmaster initials S·P below the truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy along the rim, identifying the ruler as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania. The portrait is rendered in a bold, slightly crude style characteristic of the Bydgoszcz mint of this period. The field shows slight flatness consistent with the coin's circulation wear. |
