Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet decorated with a figure of Skylla on the bowl. The goddess's facial features are rendered in fine relief, with curling locks of hair visible beneath the helmet's cheek guards. The overall style is characteristic of the accomplished South Italian Greek engraving tradition of the early fourth century BC.
