Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, depicted in profile, wearing a crested Attic helmet with cheek guards. The rendering is characteristic of late Classical Cilician coinage, with compact, stylized facial features typical of the small denomination struck at Mallos. The helmet crest is rendered with fine detail despite the diminutive flan size. The field is plain and unlettered.
