Obverse description Youthful head of Dionysos facing right, crowned with an ivy wreath, his flowing locks rendered in fine relief. The effigy displays the characteristically idealized Hellenistic style associated with civic Carian coinage of the period. The field is plain, with no legend or additional devices. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the second century BC.
