Reverse description Bearded head of Herakles facing right, depicted wearing the lion skin headdress with the scalp and mane rendered in hatched lines across the crown and nape. The facial features are rendered in a bold archaic style, with a prominent brow, round eye, and strong jaw. The entire design is set within a deep incuse square with well-defined raised borders, characteristic of early fifth-century BC Greek coinage technique. The lower portion of the incuse square shows a smooth, slightly sunken field.
