Korkyra's coinage in this period reflects the island's persistent effort to assert commercial independence from both Corinth — its founding colony — and the expanding Athenian alliance it nominally supported during the Persian Wars. The trihemiobol denomination, three half-obols, served inter-island trade in the Adriatic and Ionian networks where fractional silver moved in bulk.
HGC 6, 56 places this type within a loosely dated span of eighty years, and individual attribution within that window remains difficult without die study.
