| Obverse description | Youthful head of Bacchus (Dionysus) facing right, hair flowing in loose waves adorned with an ivy wreath, a cluster of grapes visible above the brow. The portrait is rendered in a bold Hellenistic style with a pronounced profile and fleshy features. Four pellets arranged as a group in the left field behind the head serve as the mark of value for the triens denomination. The entire design is contained within a dotted border. |
