| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in vigorous provincial style with boldly modeled facial features and curling hair beneath the laurel wreath. The circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially interrupted by the bust truncation. A fillet border frames the design. The portrait reflects the mature Hadrianic type standard to the Cilician provincial coinage of Tarsus. |
