Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with finely articulated hair and a laurel wreath encircling the brow. A bow and quiver are visible over the deity's shoulder, identifying the figure as the archer-god. The portrait is set within a plain inner field defined by the distinctive serrated flan edge. The die work displays confident, if somewhat stylized, engraving characteristic of the Antioch mint under Demetrius I Soter.
