| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with fine flowing hair swept back behind the ear and a laurel wreath crowning the brow. The portrait displays delicate facial features characteristic of late Classical and early Hellenistic die-cutting, with a well-defined profile, smooth cheek, and naturalistic rendering of the neck. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | A tripod, the principal cult symbol of Apollo, stands centrally on the reverse field with the ethnic legend ΚΑΛΛΑ / ΤΙΑΝΩΝ disposed to the left and right of the tripod respectively. An upright grain ear appears in the left field, symbolising the agricultural prosperity of the Pontic colony. The magistrate's name ΕΠΙΧΑ (abbreviated from Epicha[ntos] or similar) is inscribed below the tripod. The overall composition is typical of the civic bronze coinage of Kallatis during the Hellenistic period. |
