| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in archaic Greek provincial style. The deity's characteristic laurel wreath crown is visible, with the portrait occupying the central field of the flan. The strike is somewhat off-center, as is typical of this series, resulting in partial loss of detail at the periphery. |

| Additional information |
Leukai was a minor Greek city on the Iapygian coast of southern Italy — present-day Puglia — whose independent coinage output was limited and short-lived. The community sat in contested territory between Greek colonial influence and the indigenous Messapian population, and its bronze issues reflect a municipally autonomous but economically marginal city making pragmatic use of small-denomination coinage for local exchange.
SNG Kayhan 391 places this piece within the Kayhan collection's Anatolian and peripheral Greek holdings, one of the few reference points for attributing Leukan bronzes with confidence.
