Obverse description Facing left in three-quarter profile, the bust of the nymph Entella is rendered in fine archaic-transitional style, her hair bound with an ampyx and sphendone and adorned with delicate wavy locks falling about the neck. A simple necklace encircles her throat. The modelling of the facial features is accomplished with careful attention to volume, characteristic of Sicilian bronze coinage of the late fifth century BC.
