| Obverse description | Facing bust of King Witerico rendered in the schematic Visigothic style, depicting a frontal face with stylized radiate or fringed hair flanking both sides of the head and a decorative collar or torque at the base of the neck. Below the bust, a large crescent or lunate motif with two pellets is prominently displayed, a characteristic device of Visigothic tremisses of this period. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, with the royal legend disposed around the periphery in somewhat irregular Latin lettering. |
