Obverse description Facing bust of King Tulga, depicted in a highly stylized and schematic manner typical of late Visigothic coinage, wearing a diadem or crown adorned with pellets. The bust is rendered frontally with rudimentary facial features and draped shoulders. Four cross-tipped pendilia or decorative elements flank the effigy in the field. The circular legend + TVLGAN REX runs around the periphery, bordered by a beaded outer rim.
