Obverse description Highly stylized facing bust of King Suintila at center, rendered in the degenerate late Visigothic manner with schematic facial features, beaded pendilia hanging from a diademed headdress, and a simplified draped bust below. The central effigy is surrounded by a profusion of pellets and angular star-like or triangular decorative elements dispersed across the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The legend SVINTILA RE is distributed among the decorative elements in the field, partially legible due to the highly stylized engraving style characteristic of late Visigothic coinage.
