Obverse description Draped bust facing right, with a distinctive elongated tress or lock of hair extending behind the neck and curling in the form of a crozier. The effigy is rendered in the schematic Merovingian style typical of mid-7th-century Frankish tremisses. The legend surrounding the bust identifies the mint of Neuvic (Novo Vico). A cross precedes the inscription in the field.
