Obverse description Facing bust of King Egica rendered in the schematic, stylised manner characteristic of late Visigothic coinage, with a diademed or crowned head and draped shoulders visible. A cross pattée appears above the royal effigy in the upper field. The surrounding circular legend reads + I D NN EGICA RX, separated by a beaded border. The portraiture, though highly abstracted, follows the Byzantine-influenced iconographic tradition maintained by Visigothic moneyers at Ispali.

Reverse description A prominent cross on three steps (a crux gradita) occupies the central field, flanked by six six-pointed stars arranged symmetrically around it, a distinctive decorative scheme associated with the Ispali mint under Egica. The surrounding circular legend reads + ISPALI PIVS, affirming both the mint name and the royal epithet. The design is executed in the flat, schematic relief typical of late seventh-century Visigothic tremisses, enclosed within a beaded border on an irregularly shaped flan.
